John Body

John is an avid naturalist, enjoying the environs of both the Valley and the National Seashore and leading many community hikes to connect people with their natural environment. When people get out into nature, they see how incredibly beautiful and vulnerable it is. When people value something they work to preserve it. John also works on producing educational wildlife videos with incredible naturalists in the Valley for his website, Nature Nerds Rule.
John has served on the Northampton Conservation Commission and Northampton Wildlife Committee. Passion for conservation and wildlife led him to become a member of the Board and then president of the Valley Land Fund. He is currently on the advisory committee for Kestrel Land Trust.
John's career has spanned many fields including Director of Residence Life, Dean, clinician focused on learning disabilities, Property Steward for the Trustees, academic coach and learning specialist, lifeguard, masters swim coach, and Dune Tour guide for Art's Dune Tours (his favorite job hands-down!). He looks forward to helping Eagle Eye connect youth to nature!
