2021 Instructor Orientation

Eagle Eye has been working at the intersection of outdoor education, youth development, and equity for the last 30 years. Learn how we integrate nature and youth development to achieve positive outcomes for young people, and the important role that caring adult mentors play in our program.

Program instructors have been key partners in our work since the beginning. They include natural resource professionals, educators, scientists, students, and community members who share their passion, knowledge, and life experience with young people.

Virtual Instructor Orientation, June 19th, 2020

Share your love of nature. Become an Eagle Eye Instructor!

Join Foundation Team member Chris Cato and Program Director Cass Pastorelle in a virtual version of our Instructor Orientation. Program instructors are a key part of Eagle Eye programs. They include natural resource professionals, environmental educators, scientists, and nature enthusiasts who share their passion, knowledge, and skills with young people. The orientation includes opportunities to reflect on our relationship with the outdoors, learn about the role instructors play as a bridge to nature awareness, and gain tools to engage young people in outdoor learning and stewardship. 

2nd Annual Alumni Gathering & Annual Board, Staff, Family Retreat

July 22-23, 2017

Calling all alumni! We welcome former youth participants, staff, interns, youth workers, natural resource professionals, volunteers and supporters to reconnect to the spirit of the land and the work of Eagle Eye. This year, we are combining the Alumni Gathering with our longstanding BSF Retreat, so even more connections can be made! Spring Open House - May 7, 2017

Join us for a Spring Open House on Sunday, May 7, 11 am to 2 pm, to learn more about Eagle Eye Institute. We will meet at our 200+ acre forest site in the Berkshires, just 45 minutes west of Northampton. Take a walking tour of the trails and property and enjoy a vegan lunch on us. We welcome potential partners and individuals interested in working with us as interns, volunteers, youth workers or instructors. Please join us to celebrate the international day of giving - Giving Tuesday - at Flatbread Pizza (Flatbread Pizza Co., 45 Day St., Somerville) on Tuesday, December 2nd. For every pizza sold between 5pm and11pm (including take out), we will receive 10% of the proceeds. Flatbread pizza is delicious and nutritious, made with local and organic ingredients in a wood-fired oven. Come hungry, buy raffle tickets and play candlepin bowling. It will be a fun-filled night for family and friends!

Join us for a weekend of hiking all over the U.S.! Hikes are planned in the Middlesex Fells Reservation in Medford, MA, Mt. Kearsarge in Wilmot, NH, Mt. Tom in Holyoke, MA and Mt. Tamalpais in San Francisco, CA. Consider starting your own hike somewhere special.

Register at nature@eagleeyei.org by Oct 1st! Registration fee with t-shirt is $25.00.

Join us to kick-off Eagle Eye's 23rd summer of programming!

Enjoy a fun night of kayaking, strolling through the Fells, picnicking and communing with friends on beautiful Spot Pond. Festivities start at 5:45pm and will wrap up around 8pm. Bring family, friends and colleagues!

Suggested Donation: $15 (includes boat rental and dinner from Redbones and Basil Tree).  Free to youth and summer interns!

RSVP to nature@eagleeyei.org by June 13th! Include the # of individuals who will be kayaking and/or eating dinner, so we can reserve enough boats.
