Melinda Stockmann
Melinda worked as a program coordinator for Eagle Eye Institute for almost three and a half years between April 2001 and September 2004. She cultivated relationships with Champions from partner organizations in several states and supported them in providing Learn About Forests programs.
Melinda went on to pursue a master’s degree in landscape architecture as a way to continue connecting people with nature. She lives in Oakland, California, and is a project manager for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. In her free time, she does green schoolyard design and leads crews doing trail work throughout the Bay Area.
Working at Eagle Eye Institute was transformative for Melinda in that it helped her to understand the power of nature together with a committed multicultural collaborative to build bridges across demographics. She enthusiastically shares her experiences and perspective with recent Eagle Eye Institute staff in an advisory capacity.
