Learn About Forests™

indexYouth visit a lush forest ecosystem and learn about the forest ecology. The program focuses on opening the senses, exploring habitats and learning about lifecycles and plant/animal relationships. Activities vary depending on youth ages and experiences, site location, instructors and youth organization goals. Activities may include: tree identification, finding animal sign, bird watching, edible plant identification and tasting, hiking, tree-boring, learning about decomposition, predation and adaptations, and/or discussing the complexities around invasive species and their removal.
